I’d like to suggest adding a new Discord Deliverable Action that allows stores to send a Direct Message (DM) directly to the purchasing user, rather than only being able to send messages to a Discord server channel.
This action should only be available when “Customers will be required to log in via Discord to purchase this package” is enabled, since Tebex already has access to the customer’s Discord account and User ID in that scenario.
Why this would be valuable
Sending a direct message creates a much more personal purchasing experience. Instead of customers only seeing automated messages posted in a server, they receive a private message thanking them for their purchase, providing important information, or simply acknowledging their support.
A personalized DM helps customers feel appreciated and gives the impression that the store owner took the time to reach out to them personally. Creating this stronger connection with customers can improve their overall experience and may increase the likelihood of repeat purchases.
Additionally, DMs are ideal for sending information that shouldn’t be posted publicly, such as:
Variables
The DM should support variables similar to other Deliverable Actions, with additional placeholders such as:
@User)Being able to mention the recipient (@User) inside the DM would make messages feel even more personal.
Premium Enhancement
A great premium addition to this feature would be support for fully customizable Discord embeds. Instead of being limited to plain text, store owners could design rich embeds (or send an embed alongside a text message) using configurable fields such as:
⚠️ Error Handling
-# If the customer has DMs disabled or the message cannot be delivered, the action should fail gracefully by logging the error without preventing any remaining Deliverable Actions from executing.
This would allow stores to send professional-looking purchase receipts, setup guides, welcome messages, and branded thank-you messages directly to customers, greatly enhancing the post-purchase experience.
